Devine Carama comes to KSU for National Poetry Month

Richard”Devine Carama” Spaulding is a poet and conscious rapper from Lexington Ky,  Carama came to KSU on April, 20th in Bradford hall to speak to students about the “power of words”. Carama stayed on campus for several hours after his convocation speech to visit different classrooms in hopes of inspiring them to better their lives ans communities. “It was good to hear someone talk about poetry and inspire the youth”. Said Kamani Peeples, a students at KSU. Carama also have an organization in Lexington Kentucky,  called Believing in forever that helps young boys from single parent house-holds learn how to treat women and properly take care of themselves.
